Beekeeping & Gardening For Bees & Other Pollinators is a 10 hour course spread over two days, that is designed to give an understanding into the role of bees & other pollinators in supporting wildlife and agricultural production, and a taster of what it would be like to look after bees.

You will learn about the amazing world of honeybees through a description of the life cycles of individual bees and of the colonies to which they belong.

Gain knowledge of the nutritional needs of bees and other pollinators, which plants are most important in fulfilling these needs and how to choose the best plants for your garden, balcony or roof terrace to attract bees.

The course is open to all people aged between 19-59. Places are FREE* for Southwark residents, everyone is welcome and charges of up to £99 may apply to non-Southwark residents .

*Southwark Adult learning Services offer to fund one free place for every Southwark resident each year, subject to availability. You need to have been resident for at least two years, not be in any other training and have a national insurance number.
