Gardening in Containers and Small Spaces


Gardening in Containers and Small Spaces is a free 10 hour course for adults aged 19 - 59 who are Southwark residents.

On the course you will learn various ways to grow plants and vegetables, by taking advantage of any small space no matter the time of year.

We will teach you how to:

·         Plant in containers

·         Get the most out of your patios, windowsills and walls

·         Find the best space

·         Give you helpful tips

We do the course onsite in the garden however if you know of any communal garden spaces within the area then we will come and teach you there as well!

Places are FREE* for Southwark residents, everyone is welcome and charges of up to £99 may apply to non-Southwark residents .

When contacting us to book a place please provide your full name, contact number and clearly state the dates you would like to attend.

*Southwark Adult learning Services offer to fund one free place for every Southwark resident each year, subject to availability. You need to have been resident for at least two years, not be in any other training and have a national insurance number.
