Introduction to Gardening is a 10 hour course spread over two days for adult beginner gardeners over 19 years old.
The course covers beginner basics and tips to get you started; good basic knowledge, technique and practical skills, a chance to ask lots of questions and get answers, as well as written information to take away.
With us you will learn basic gardening, including:
- Choosing the right site
- Seed sowing & care
- The right soil and compost
- Starting plants indoors
- Pricking out & potting on
- Transplanting and planting out
- Watering, feeding, general maintenance & aftercare
You will also learn how to make a mixed planter that you can take home and enjoy!

If you're a resident of the EEA (The European Economic Area) for 3 years or more and are over 19 years old you can attend one free workshop per academic year with us!*
