Introduction to Gardening is a 10 hour course spread over two days for adult beginner gardeners over 19 years old.

The course covers beginner basics and tips to get you started; good basic knowledge, technique and practical skills, a chance to ask lots of questions and get answers, as well as written information to take away.

With us you will learn basic gardening, including:

  • Choosing the right site
  • Seed sowing & care
  • The right soil and compost
  • Starting plants indoors
  • Pricking out & potting on
  • Transplanting and planting out
  • Watering, feeding, general maintenance & aftercare


You will also learn how to make a mixed planter that you can take home and enjoy!

Did You Know

If you're a resident of the EEA (The European Economic Area) for 3 years or more and are over 19 years old you can attend one free workshop per academic year with us!*

We have a limited number of free places, so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment!
