Community Health & Herbal Medicine
Friday 12 18:00 - 21:00 & Saturday 13 10:00 - 17:00
This workshop will look at some of the history, language and politics of what gets called ‘mental health’ and will include discussion about medical approaches, understandings and diagnosis.
We will look at some of the alternative, progressive conversations around and understandings of psycho-emotional health in social context, and consider alternative approaches: We will look at some of the main herbal nervines (herbs that affect the nervous system) and talk about self-help approaches & practises, and broader support for psycho-emotional and nervous system health. The space will offer information exchange and will invite shared dialogue.
All welcome - whether you’re new to some of these ideas/conversations or want to contribute of your own body of knowledge.
Facilitated by Lisa Fannen
