Diabetes - exploring and addressing systemic imbalances and responding with food, activity and herbs.
Facilitated by medical herbalist Rasheeqa Ahmad. We will look at the general mechanisms of diabetes mellitus, at the wider context of systemic imbalances that are contributing to the prevalence of this condition, and at effective healthful ways to support balance and reduce the risks of diabetes with a range of herbal approaches.
We’ll also explore herbs and practices that support cardiovascular health and learn about how our body systems are interconnected and rely on intricate dynamic feedback loops to maintain healthy balance. Make a herbal preparation to take home and gain knowledge and skills in self-care in home and community.
