Introduction to Macrame is a one day workshop where you will learn the basics of Macrame! You will learn how to make your own unique plant hanger and wall hanging to give as a gift or just enjoy yourself!
You will learn:
How to start and finish your pieces
Basic knots in Macrame
How to make your projects unique
Get inspired for future projects
What to do with your leftover material
Meet Charlotte Thompson
Charlotte is a self-taught fibre artist and teacher currently living in Newcastle upon Tyne. She makes and teaches macramé through public workshops and private lessons, along with selling her own work. Craft has always been a passion of her’s from a young age and when she found macramé it became one she wanted to explore much more of to a professional standard. Macrame has also played a vital role in her academic career as an integral element of a major project for a postgraduate arts degree.
What you need to know
No previous experience needed!
All materials will be supplied and will be environmentally. Charlotte will even teach you what you can do with your leftover material to make your projects sustainable so you waste as little as possible!
Refreshments will be provided throughout
