We are so grateful for all the dedicated volunteers who have kept us growing through the years, and proudly continue offering the opportunity for volunteers to give back, grow, and form long-lasting relationships with our community and the environment.

Learn new skills
We’re looking for volunteers to support the essential work of our Plant Centre, which makes our student-propagated stock available to the public. You’ll pick up our horticultural tricks of the trade, get a behind-the-scenes understanding of our work, and the ongoing logistics of overseeing a successful, charitable Plant Centre. Regular tasks include watering, labelling plants, and making sure the Garden looks its best.
Join a community
As a volunteer, you’ll be a valued member of the Walworth Garden team. You’ll meet other like-minded locals, get insights to how we work together for the good of the community, and get some experience working in the industry.
Enjoy some perks
If volunteering for the day, we’ll welcome you to join our daily community vegan lunch. Tea and coffee are always available. Volunteers also enjoy a 15% discount on all products in the Plant Centre.

Please note that these volunteering sessions are for our Plant Centre only. We are not currently looking for Gardening Therapy volunteers. Please also note that volunteers do not receive priority access to our Level 2 courses. If you have questions about accessing the Level 2 course, please see our FAQ page.

After attending, we can invite you to join us in regular sessions.
Our inductions take place once a month, usually in the last week of the month. If no inductions are appearing it is likely that our next sets are already fully booked. Check back soon as we are always adding more sessions!
