Join the community for a day reflecting on the history, memories, and our personal connections to plants from South America and the Caribbean, here at the Garden.

Community gardener Maria Cabrera will be welcoming the sharing of personal stories and experiences from participants in this interactive and welcoming session. The day will include a tour around the garden, and an exploration of the plants growing with rich histories rooted in South American and Caribbean traditions, food, spirituality, and even their roles in shaping politics and social movements. This will be followed by snack-sharing and a collective art-making session lead by community organiser and illustrator Javie Huxley.

Maria will be creating a space for gathering, reflections, and connections. This event is specifically designed as a sharing space for South American and Caribbean people, and people of colour. When booking, we ask that you be mindful that this is the intended participant group.

We have now reached a maximum number of participants and so booking is now closed for this event.
